Starting Out, Starting Over, Start Up...
This time last year I was setting up The Lyme Juice Company for the first time. The job I had moved here for had fallen through and I was left to follow my heart and to make a choice - what direction should my life take? As a single mom in need of a new start and a new job I chose Juice, or it chose me.
I brought a long extension cord out in to the field at Ashlawn Farm and plugged it in to power up...
Nothing happened. It was a Christmas lights extension cord and that spelled one thing: Not enough juice.
It's true - there is not enough juice in this world - but there are so many really kind people out there, strangers who become friends, and there is a place that is open to juice and its beautiful dialogue of self-love and community. Juice is a perfect way to get to know new friends, a growing tribe that helps to get the juice flowing and keep it flowing no matter how much or how little juice is in the power cord.
